1. What is Tipperly?

Tipperly is a digital tipping platform that lets you easily send tips to businesses and their staff using your phone or card — no cash needed.

2. Do I need an account to tip someone?

No. You can tip anonymously without creating an account. Just scan the QR code, enter your amount, and pay.

3. Is my payment secure?

Yes. All payments are securely processed using STRIPE. Tipperly does not store your card details.

4. Will the business know who tipped them?

No, tips are anonymous.

5. Can I get a receipt?

Yes. If you enter your email at checkout, we’ll send a digital receipt.

6. What if I suspect a business is fake or acting suspiciously?

You can report any fraudulent activity via our Report Fraud page or email us at fraud@tipperly.io.


For Businesses

1. How does Tipperly work for my business?

After signing up and verifying your account, you’ll get a dashboard where you can manage employees and receive tips directly from customers via QR codes.

2. How do I receive my tips?

Tips are paid directly into your connected STRIPE Express account. You can set up your bank info during onboarding.

3. Does Tipperly take a commission?

Yes. A small fee (2.9% + $0.79 per transaction) covers STRIPE payment processing and platform maintenance. The full tip amount goes directly to your account - the fee is paid by the customer, not deducted from your tips.

4. Can I track tips and payouts?

Absolutely. Your dashboard includes a breakdown of all tips, top earners, and payout history.

5. What if a customer disputes a tip?

We’ll investigate and work with STRIPE to resolve disputes. Contact support at support@tipperly.io.

6. Is onboarding free?

Yes, setting up your business is completely free.
